If you’re experiencing sync issues between your iPhone and Apple Watch, follow these steps to verify your iCloud configuration. The data is synced to your watch over iCloud, if this is disabled then Apple Watch has no way to retrieve your cards.

Check Apple Watch Settings

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Go to General > Apple Account
  3. Confirm your iCloud account is correctly displayed
  4. On your Apple Watch itself, open Settings
  5. Verify that your Apple ID is signed in
Note: The error message “Cannot find iCloud account” on the Apple Watch usually indicates a connectivity issue between your device and iCloud services.

Check iPhone Settings

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name/Apple ID at the top of the screen
  3. Select iCloud
  4. Under “Saved to iCloud,” tap “See All” and confirm that Barcodes is listed and enabled

Common Causes

These sync issues typically occur when:
  • You’ve recently changed your iCloud account
  • Barcode data has been removed from Settings
  • Your Apple Watch has been logged out of iCloud
